Chicago Artists Month is an initiative of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events that showcases the work of Chicago’s independent artists and arts organizations. As a platform for independently-produced events and programs in all disciplines, CAM highlights creative activity in Chicago neighborhoods; encourages tourism and small business development; fosters collaboration and opportunities for creative expression and learning.

Established in 1986, the Cornelia Arts Building is one of the largest All-Artist studio buildings on Chicago's Northside; and their October Open Studio Events is one of the oldest continually-run artist studio events in the city of Chicago. This event is one of only four events held a year, when the building opens it's doors to the public and invites them to see the working art studios of Chicago based artists and artisans, meet them directly without intermediaries, and explore their working practices up close.

Tiphanie Spencer - City Life

The building rests at the border of three distinct Chicago Neighborhoods; Lakeview, Roscoe Village, and North Center. Close to public transportation and only two blocks south of the Addison Brown Line CTA stop, with free parking available in parking lot out front and on neighborhood streets nearby.

Guest Artist Joey Wozniak

Event is FREE and open to the public.
