"Snow at Sunset" - Guest Artist Shalisha Erenberg
Come visit during our FIRST open studio event of the year, in this special EARLY SPRING event! One of only a handful of times a year when the building opens it's doors to the public and invites them to see the working art studios of Chicago based artists and artisans, meet them directly without intermediaries, and explore their working practices up close.
"Postcards" - Resident artist Jason Messinger
Explore two full floors of working artist studios, and have a chance to purchase artwork and hand-made crafts directly from the artists and artisans who made them. Over fifty local artists and artisans work in this former ice-house, including sculptors, painters, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelry designers, textile artisans, and much much more.
Resident Artist Diane Ponder
Meet several NEW residents opening their doors, special hallway guest artist exhibition by Shalisha Erenberg and Jordan Scott, complimentary beverages and refreshments in the studios, and food truck Donerman outside! Open studio events are Family Friendly - with an interactive Kid's Art Creates project on our front porch (weather permitting).
