On Friday November 5th, 2021, from 6 to 10 pm, artists of The Cornelia Art Building, located at 1800 West Cornelia Ave. in Chicago, invite the public to their first and only open house of the year. After an 18 month hiatus, the artists are pleased to finally host an open house again. Visit one of the largest all-artist buildings on Chicago’s North side, and experience two-full floors of working art studios. The building has undergone the first stage of extensive remodeling, and has welcomed many new artists into the building. With one-of-a-kind artwork and special artisan-made gifts by the building artists, the event offers something for the whole family to enjoy.

For thirty-five years this artist incubator space has provided Chicago artists with professional studio spaces to pursue their passion. Over fifty local artists and artisans work here, including painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelry designers, textile artisans, and much more. Visitors to the Open House can meet the building’s talented artists and artisans in person, explore their art practices up close, and enjoy the opportunity to purchase artwork and hand-made crafts directly from the people who made them.
